Exporting A1 footage from FCP - Too big - HELP!

Hey All. I'm not sure if this is the right area to post this thread or not, but since it deals with the A1, I figure this is a good a place as any. Basically, I'm doing well with the A1 and Letus, but when it comes to compressing the final videos for exporting, I'm at a loss. I'm using FCP to edit with. It's the most up to date FCP (not counting the new Studio 2), so I think it's version 5.1.4. I've tried a bunch of settings, but I'm unable to get the files under 300mb. My site has a hard time uploading files thatl large without timing out. The finals are only about 25-30 seconds at max. I'm shooting HD at 24f, but can't seem to get those file sizes down. Is this just a characteristic of shooting in HD or is there a workaround for this? Thanks again for all your help, folks.

If your edits are that short you can just export an entire timeline as a "self-contained QT movie". 30 second segments saved as native HDV should take up about 95 MB.

Just do a "select all" in a completed timeline and go to the export funtion. Choose self-contained movie and then upload the clip once it's saved to its location.
