I've been editing my first big project from an HVX recently, which was shot 720p and wide screen 16 x 9. I've been editing with FCP 6 and when I exported the project to use on vimeo, trying to go for a resolution of 1280 x 720 to get the HD settings, things came out strange and parts were interlaced. The widescreen was odd, too. For stuff like vimeo and putting it on DVD and Blu-Ray, what would generally be the best export settings on FCP be?

For DVDs, export using Compressor for best quality.
For the web, I use Export Using Quicktime Conversion and select Broadband High (or Medium) from the Options. Then you can go to Video settings, and set a Custom aspect ratio. 720x405 works well for widescreen.
