export hd to sd from mac to pc

I have hvx200 footage in hd I need to get to a person who wants to edit it on Pinnacle in sd. I'm on a mac, he's on a pc. What's the best way to do this? (I'd prefer to convert first to sd before giving it to him, but I don't know what codec works best.)

p2 not an option, person not that tech-savvy. he needs files he can work with right away.

don't know neoscene, will check out.
