EX3 Viewfinder on an EX1

Howdy...

The only feature of the EX3 that I'd really like is the viewfinder. I wonder if there's any way to get that same feature as an attachment (like a hood) on the EX1...

Any thoughts?

I had the same thought. It wouldnt be hard to make something ourselves. This might sound funny but a small tupperware type box that cups over the LCD screen and is about two inches deep with a hole drilled out the bottom of it might just work. Wouldnt it?

If they wont give us a FIRMWARE upgrade then we can atleast give ourselves a Tupperware one.
 
Damn thats a good idea. I'm only interested in the viewfinder of the ex3 !

I dont think they gonna make it, but he, ya never know with sony. Maybe they allready made a EX-5... ;)
 
I don't think a coating should change anything in terms of function, but it might make the screen more resistant to being burned by the sun when the magnifier is fitted.

That is a major hazard with putting a loupe over your LCD screen - one exposure to the sun and it will certainly burn.
