EX1r Firmware Update

I have been told I need to download Sony firmware V1.2 to correct a problem I am having with MxR adapters(inadvertent slot switch issue after shut down/power up). I can't find 1.2 on the Sony site. Anyone have any info on this?

Also,nothing in the manual about proceding with the download once a connection is made. Does the site coach you through the steps?

Here is the url for EX series camera firmware updates for USA cameras-

It shows EX1 needs V1.20
EX1R needs V1.1

The EX1 and EX1R are different cameras and require different firmware.

The instructions for firmware install are included in the download.

Have you downloaded V1.1 for EX1r yourself? What difference have you noted.....if any. I am trying to resolve an MxR adapter issue that I am hoping this version may take care of.(inadbvertent slot switch taking place after shut off/on) But,also,I understand Camera and Media startup times are vastly improved? Your experience?

VERY important information.....I thank you for taking the time to lead me there. This echoes a basic concern of mine in all things download but I am now even more convinced of the old saw "If it ain't broke...."
