EX1R Available Now at B&H!

A couple potential negatives I heard about the EX1R is that you now can't zoom slower than 8, and you cannot access the service menu (to set the flangeback calibration).

Chadfish, you can do a comparative test of image EX1 vs. EX1R? Where we can see the difference in contamination of the IR? Thanks ... Congratulations on the award :-) Kata

Thanks but I don't have an R. I have 2 EX1 only. Hoping to sell one and get an R though. I will do a comparison when I get one.

you can't tell if the IR issue has gone in the 1R from that video, there is nothing to compare it too. Take 1min 57 in, there is a male right of centre with a muddy brown jacket, so is that a brown jacket of black with IR...

We just need a direct split screen comparison of 1 vs 1R. It will happen soon enough I am sure.
