Eww. Compression in final results

So, I finished my music video, looks great, but on the computer, especially after exporting, it looks like its compressed and the footage looks like crap quality.

It least, I believe its the compression that makes it look like that, pretty sure.
You can see the blochy spots in the highlights and the dark areas.

What's going on?
It is destroying my quality.

What did I do wrong? The video has already been released, but I want to know for next time.
Im pretty sure it has something to do with the way it was edited and exported on FCP.

Looks like you need more light Honestly, a lot more. Also try shooting at lower iso, such as 800 Max but you want to keep it around 400-640

yup. more light. dont follow the hype and think cuz these cams are so sensitive you dont have to light. If u want good footage. LIGHT :) and keep that iso at the highest 640. If you must push it then use neat video to clean it up. Also it seems you are shooting with some flat profile. These usually lead to alot of noise, Cinestyle included. if you gonna shoot flat..all the more reason to light to fight that noise. But the only flat setting i'd recommend shooting at night is neutral and dial back the contrast and saturation. How fast was that lens you were using?

also try to use reflectors in those day scenes. you can ghetto style them if u wanna..reflectors are easy to make and dirt cheap. it will definitely help alot. Use the sun as a backlight and bounce light back into the talents face.

I'd also recommend crushing the blacks more. you compression also could be at fault so thats not out of the equation...but i dont know your settings not do i use FCP. so i cant help there.

no. no. Its not the lighting issue.
I wasn't able to use any lighting setups for this. I know what could have been fixed lighting wise..
Everything was shot below iso 800 anyways. 1 shot was over and a couple were 800, but most were below, even night scenes.

but its the compression of the video that makes it look all blochy and ugly.
It seems to me to be a post production thing Im doing wrong.

Like when you take a jpg image at low megapixels compared to one with a lot, you can see lines and weird bloches in the low megapixel camera.
Same thing in jpg compared to raw. - You dont see it in raw but in jpg you do.

So, its not the light.
Look at 1:32 - 1:35

Well what compression settings did you use? For shorter YouTube type videos I use 13MBps VBR h.264.
