EVS online A++.

After I had my seizure a few weeks ago, I have been in and out of the doctors hearing one thing and then the opposite. I would think that with the medical profession only having to deal with one species the information should be the same, or at least reliable. On the way home from work (my wife has to dive me for three months now, Utah law) my wife and I were wishing there was someone we could trust to not try to take advantage of us, someone who had our best interest in mind. It was then that she mentioned that another order from EVS had arrived that day, and we agreed that even though it would be great to have someone to look after my health, I was happy to have someone take such good care of my video supply needs. I am happy to have EVS and Rush as my "guy" for all that stuff.

Even though this thread is now 18 months old, I want to also say thank you.

Joe

Boy, Joe... I honestly don't even know what to say, but a heartfelt thank you for your generosity in that statement. Thank you. I will endeavor to always provide that level of service. :)

Rush you the man... ITs been almost a year since i got my baby! I remeber being almost hesitant to ask about the DVxuser.com discount, but rush like literally sounded happy to lose 100 dollars...( funny guy).

Thn a few weeks later he was the BIGGEST help in purchasing a Tripod. he set me up with some high quality gear., for a great price.

Thankyou!

If ever i get around to a HVX, i know who i will buy from.

Bought most of my first equipment from EVS based on the experiences of other members here. Rush answered every question, made great suggestions, and sent an item missing from one of my orders ASAP.
Great people, great prices, can't beat that.
Hey Rush - I'm glad I got on your pre-order list early!

Thanks Murraja! yeah, that list got out of control fast... I made a digital copy on CD just in case my drive crashes... :)

Everybody here seems to have such a great experience with EVS and they sound like such a great place to do business with that I planned on buying my next DVX 100 (actually waiting for whatever the next DVX is regardless of features).

But I guess the way to deal with them is on the phone and with Rush because I went into the tiny showroom at EVS one day recently and couldn't get arrested.

Not one of the three people walking around the little room, some of whom almost bumped into me, would even look at me. I felt like Casper the ghost. Not a "hello", "Can I help you?", nothing. I though that maybe I should ask for Rush but after standing at the little counter for about ten minutes and still being ignored I walked out.

When the new DVX 100 comes out I'll try calling Rush and give it one more shot because I'm hoping I just hit them on a bad day. He really sounds like a great guy to do business with.

Hi Kelly,

I would like to apologize for any delay in us providing you adequate service in the lobby. I have a feeling you were there on a Friday... Which happens to be Hell-Day for us, due to the extensive rental pickups for the weekend. We usually have between 19-25 pickups, all requiring special handling. But that is no excuse. I am sorry about the way things happened regardless; Whoever it was in the lobby with you did not act professionally, and I will discuss this matter with my sales staff. Please call me and I will be happy to personally serve you next time.

Sincerely,
Rush.

Hey Kelly.. i feel for you, I remember walking into EVS for the first time and thinking i was in the wrong place because it was so "intimate" but before i could turn around all the cool gear distracted me. Intimate is a pretty good way to describe the place, and the service, as you can see if your a customer there and being serviced they put all their attention to you and only you 110%. Its great if your that person getting serviced, but sucks if your "in line". I remember feeling bad for taking so much of the sales peoples time, its not the usual way places work. but its in a good way, you just gotta catch them at the right time. Im sure if you would have been there when it was less busy you would have been blown away by the service.

If you see all the statements here you can tell that its that intimate service that makes EVS so special, in fact, before I started DVXuser, I talked to Cody there on and off for hours BEFORE i bought the DVX, before I was even a customer to them. I was so impressed with the pre-sales service I cant even tell you. The fact that Rush comes on here on his own time, after work, to address peoples problems and still provide sales help is amazing.

So I hope you try again, and don't forget you get a special discount for being a DVXuser discount. I'm not saying that because they pay me, they don't, and i don't get money for sending people to buy there, I just send people there because they are the best.

who is the guy with the two tone hair in pg. 2?

It's really easy to be happy with a company when you call and put your order in, you get your product shipped out to you and everything goes perfect. Let's be honest, when you are spending in the upwards of $4000 you want things to go smoothly, but the fact is the true measure of a company is not how they act when things are going well, but how they act when things are not going well.

To tell a long story and make it very short, I called EVS and worked with Randy, who was brilliant and helpful. I called back a week later and ordered my DVX and put it on a credit card. I called back about 20 minutes later and also wanted a filter to protect the lens. I put that on my debit card. That night I log into my account and I'm $2500 overdrawn. Somehow things got messed up with the processing and the wrong card was processed! Needless to say I was angry, hurt, paranoid (needed to write my rent check), and just dumbfounded. I called and spoke with Randy the next day, and he personally took care of this issue. He worked with me in conjunction with my bank and made sure that everything was taken care of.

Everyone tells these horror stories of things that go wrong when they are ordering gear, of having to track down a vendor to even get them to ship out your order. With EVS an honest mistake was made and they went to bat for me like no other store. It didn't bother me ultimately that all this stuff happened with my account, it was resolved. What impressed me and continues to impress me is the matter through which they handled the resolution. Because this mistake was important to me it was important to them.

For anyone debating ordering from EVS you just need to know that the customer service is top notch, they are very professional, and the service is outstanding. Although I had a bumpy situation come up with my order, it's nice to know that someone had my back and was working hard to resolve the issue.

Rush,

It wasn't a Friday, but no matter. As I stated in my post, it is clear that everybody on this board has recieved excellent service from EVS, and particulaly from you, so I'm going to give you a call when you let us know that you have the DVX 100 "B" (or whatever they choose to call it) in stock.

I'm confident that I will be posting a follow up message stating that I had a great experience with EVS on my second try and that I saved money as well.

Let me add my kudos. I'm a fan. I did buy by DVX from EVS but I'm certainly not a big customer from a monetary standpoint. Yet Rush is always great to answer my questions and make suggestions. Most recently I was looking for an oddball accessory that was only $45. I called and wound up talking with a very sweet women whose name I''m embarrassed to say I've forgotten. The item was not in stock at EVS but she located it at another shop nearby. She called me back later that day to tell me that the item had been obtained and would be shipped out that day. Wow! I may not have the story exactly right but I won't forget the effort that was made to help me out. I'm hoping to swing the bucks for a second DVX and I won't think twice as to where I'll be calling.

This is my first post, although I've been lurking on the forums for months :)

I just got my DVX delivered yesterday along with a bunch of other gear that I ordered from EVS. Rush was very helpfull during the whole process, even while I was dealing with the morons at my bank. It took about 6 calls to my bank to get someone who knew what they were talking about...just to authorize a check-card purchase!
If only they hired quality staff like those at EVS.

Thanks Rush and EVS!
