Evil Hunter: Short Experimental Movie

Hi folks,

I did a short experimental movie to test some stuff including light, I wish to have some advise on making the light look more filmic, I just feel it looks so video'sh.

Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

Thanks!

For me the 'unfilmicness' stemmed from the number of shadows cast. Perhaps 'softer', but given what I presume is The Story, still lit from underneath, or 'odd/horror' type
angles.

I'd also almost want to see it in 'gritty' black and white, or more desaturated. The colors felt more saturated that what I'd expect from a film, with similar 'horror' stylization, which may also be a 'videoness' effect.

On the audio I did hear some low level noise/rumble, which to me suggests more of the 'video' feeling as well...

I don't see it so much videoish as you say, i think it looks interesting, like an 80's B horror movie. I think camera work needs to be improved, also editing. Just my opinion.
