I have the Hoodman - originally bought it for the 7D. Just noticed that they has come out with an extension boot for the loup that covers the entire 4" LCD display on the '100.

I tried the HOODMAN which fits onto the AF100 LCD with the special extension boot but it was too heavy and would eventually cause damage to the LCD arm that swivels around. I use the Cineroid EVF which is great. I did ask Zacuto if they were making a loupe for the AF100 but they said they were only making the EVF.

I've tried the hoodman with the extension and it seems to work well (they even offer a magnifying eyepiece, but I thought the standard eyepiece is better). What makes you think this will damage the LCD?

However, I find that a DP6 in conjunction with the LCD is the best setup. I mount the monitor on an arm right below my LCD. This lets me use my LCD for exposure (zebras and/or waveform), while the DP6 lets me compose and focus. This won't work for run-and-gun, of course. The simplest solution I have found in that case is to wear a pair of reading glasses, but if you have a few seconds to attach the hoodman I think it's worth the effort.
