EVA1: EVA1 User Footage Compilation

Thanks filmguy123, I was starting to worry. This is what I needed to see. I am still in the convincing stage that the EVA1 is a big improvement over my GH5.

Excellent review with shots of hairy orangutangs throughout (watch in 4k if you can!) as well as a side-by-side of the 120, 240 FPS (spoiler, they're soft even for HD)
As well as side by side of internal compression vs Prores (very briefly closer to the end)
As well as a modest GH5 vs Eva1 comparision
LCD review
Battery life review
Dynamic Range review
Buttons/Ergonomics review

Here is are some frames with sample grades from an interview I shot this week.

Here is just a quick and gritty test with my EVA1.

Shot at 2500 - 4000 ISO at 2500 base. V-LOG. Applied the V-LOG to V-709 lut with a little tweaking in shadows and highlights. Shot on Canon L lenses.

This test is nothing too technically in depth. Just wanted to see how it performs in low lighting condition and night time as well.

something tells me that if you would have shot it on an FS7, C300, Arri or the F55, the results would be similar.

Yes the actual footage difference between the various high end cameras is starting to blur, as they reach a common or similar image quality. The native “look”of theses cameras is starting to meld.
Cheers

That and also you can see clearly Bills eye for composition and framing exposure and camera movement that’s what makes the stuff look like it does.

Yes, cinematography is more than gear, it is the person behind the camera. Even the AF100 was used for a few scenes in a major movie release.
Cheers
