hi,
this is my first post, but i've been a lurker for awhile now, but anyways...

when ever i try to export a TIFF image, either a single frame or an image sequence, from either the timeline or the source view, it doesn't let me and i get this strange error,

error.jpg

does anyone know what thats about, and how i would go about fixing it?
thanks!

Also, I just tried to export a photoshop image, a single frame and a sequence, and it gave me the same error...

no one knows? I have tried every image format as an option to export both a single frame, and a sequence and i get the same error message. in the console, it also shows

* Exception: Structured Exception, ExceptionCode:0xc000001d, ExceptionString:ILLEGAL_INSTRUCTION, FaultAddress:0x189fc2e
EDIT: MediaPos=0,MediaDur=554000,TrackPos=0,TrackDur=554000,SegRate=65536

anyone know!?

This is a complete guess, but you might try upgrading to the newest version. It's 5.2.something. It's a free download. Honestly I don't know what's causing that error, but sometimes getting a fresh install will clear up things that don't make sense.

well, i upgraded to the latest version, and i still get the same error every time i try to export a still image... in that error message it refers me to an error log, and that error log says

maybe that will help someone figure this out?

I have the same problem.
Can´t export any graphics at all. Same error message.
Do you have a AMD processor?
I think that could be the problem.
It´s been reported that from 5.0 to newest editions there been some issues. Like this with the graphics and like can´t use the fliud film effect (Does it happen to you)
I think avid should look further to see what´s wrong with AMD and Xpress Pro combination.

What graphic card do you have: Nvidia?

yea, i have an AMD, and i did fix the problem but only by returning to xpress pro 4.6, downgrading. i think there is something about the combination of amd processors and avid thats not right. but, another reason to get a new computer!
