Erasing P2 files (locked files)

Does anyone know how to erase files that are in trash. My mac (or camera?) locks all MXF files. I cannot empty trah. Unocking each file individully will take forever. Is there a way to have camera not add file locking?

Hold down the OPTION key then select EMPTY TRASH.

or just use the mouse method to empty the trash by clicking and holding on the trash icon then selecting "empty trash" from the menu will also override the locked files..

Isn't this the stupidest problem about Mac OS? It REALLY annoyed me, until I contacted my friend who works at Apple. If neither of those suggestions work, then you'll have to go into the Terminal and enter a "remove flags" command that can wipe all the files out quickly... if it comes to that, then I'll post the command string for you...

nothing helps for me, so I have to "remove flags"
Does this automatically removes the trash?

There is a great little app called Cocktail which will allow you to delete locked files.
