FEATURE: Epitaph: Bread and Salt Feature film

It was all good guys. We shot it. The snow looked great. I kind of hoped it would still be snowing as we shot and not just snow on the ground, but it was all good. Stills coming soon.

Question Nathyn. Your sort of doing the same thing as me... making films and acting in them yourself. Do you run the camera in the scenes your not in, or do you have someone else totally running the camera the entire time? Thats how I did it on my feature, except for a few times when my camera man couldn't make it and I wasn't in those scenes.. I did it.

I shot "The Fourth Beast" because I only did a cameo in that and my producer shot that scene. In "Wages of Sin" I had rotation camera people. When I wasn't in the scene I usually shot it. But even so there are at least three scenes that shot and acted in. With this one Adam does all the camera work I simply direct and act. I was actually part of the make up department too last night as I helped Savion zombify Jenna. LOL.

Must be fun shooting in the snow, we don't get much of that here in California, except on the mountains even so, most are machine made. Your cosmetics artist is amazing! Wish I had an artist like that for Halloween. Do you plan to put up any short clips just as a preview to us eager viewers.

Yes, filmming can be cool in the snow actually adds to the production value too. But I actually wished it had continued to snow that night. It would've looked great on camera.

Everyone's away on vacation, my camera guys is having back pain and my zombie gal moved to another city, (luckily we did shoot all her stuff). But on a good note, I'm doing Chicago Code tomorrow so that should be nice. This is my second extra role in a big production. My first was on the new Matt Damon film Contagion (I was background in a scene with Fishburne).

Nope, not 'til January. Sucks, but I needed a break anyway. I love the poster and cover by the way. I know I said it 100 times but it's so shelf ready.

Well looks like we won't be started again until the middle of Feb. Schedule conflicts and such.

Hey Man, I just wanna say Good luck with this, I got to this site through your book which was real good, and I read this whole thread. I'll defo buy the DVD when your done. You're quite the inspiration.

February's cool. The weather might be a little bit nicer by then anyway and it'll give you time to think just how kick a** you want to shoot the scene.

Thanks Sam. I first came to this site in 2004, when it was DVX specific. It's gotten so huge now, you can get info about any major digital cam here and there's a lot of people to help especially if you're doing a first film. You'll love it here. And thanks for the purchase. I plan to do another after I get the movies and these novels out of the way.

Yea, I've thought about that too. The weather usually is horrible in January here in Chicago. It really doesn't start to ease up until March and sometimes not until April. Not to mention I have to find a new job too so that's something I have to get on top of too.

Looks exciting

Believe me, it will be. :)
