I found this good explanation of HDRx (i.e. blending of two exposures) on the RED Epic. It also offers a glimpse of Assimilate’s post-production software SCRATCH at work.

Some of these look quite normal cause we had no idea what kind of weather and light was really there so it might of been that bright and good enough for camera to have good amount of detail in dark and bright areas, would like to see some extreme cases of hdr where there was really dark and really bright.
