EOS Utility crash when RAW

Has anyone ever taken some RAW photos on the Canon 7D and have the EOS Utility basically freeze up and crash? It's not a huge problem as I could always take the footage off iPhoto but why is this? At first I thought it was just a one time thing, and it goes away after I format the card, but this seems to always happen when I have RAW images in my card. Is it because I mixed normal jpegs with RAW? Or because I failed to install a particular codec or something from the original disk?

EOS utility is kinda buggy, I had to reinstall is a few times and eventually it fixed my problem.

Windows or Mac? The RAW file is around 22MB and may pose a problem
for WinBlows. A Mac should be way more stable. I've never had a problem
with RAW files ( Gimp ) but then again I don't use WinBlows.

Its a mac. No longer use windows lol. Macs are far better.
