Eos to PL adapter with Zeiss cp2

[jambredz]

Are there adapters that can be used with zeiss cp2 without gutting the camera? I see some adapters...but will they work with the cp2 lenses. i know not all PL lenses work with the adapters because they will break the mirror.

Is there a reason you can't get cp2s with the native EOS mount?

well its info im finding out for a friend. But he doesnt want to be locked into canon mounts and i agree...the 7d wont be his last camera and one needs to think bout cameras in the future (he's thinking f3 or another pl mount capable camera). cp2 have an interchangeable mount version also that you can change the eos mount to pl...but it seems it maybe technical for the end user to do that and they recommend a lens technician to do it. So he'd just rather go pl and be done

Go for the Nikon mount. You can get Nikon to EOS for your Canon. Red even has Nikon mount as an option.

I dont think CP2 have nikon mount. well not to my knowledge. Its PL or EF or both.

The CP.2 lenses have Five different mounts available (PL, EF, F, E and MFT mount).

All the Best!

thanks for the info Dave! didnt know that . He still would have to change the lens mounts himself and by the looks of it, its a professional job (we don't have lens technicians for that here). So i don't know about how comfortable he'd be with doing that. Any recommendations on the eos to PL adapters though?
