maybe some of you have heard of it: http://announcements.engadget.com/2006/08/22/the-engadget-commercial-contest/

Well, the results are in and the winner shot his with a DVX. just thought that was kind of cool. And the other finalists are posted too they get an ipod shuffle. I am amongst those. I found out about the competition 6 hours b4 it was due so I busted something out in 6 hours so the production quality is far from perfect but it gets the point across and a lot of people thought it was funny. Mine is the one titled "Confused about technology". You can check them out here:

Love it! Really nice work considering you did it all in 6 hours.. It took me almost that long to take my DVX100b out of the box when I first bought it... I have to run now, but I'll check back to get this link *and thread* again, so I can check out the others in the contest. Thanks for posting that... it's great inspiration!

A cold beer for the man Sheppy52... he earned it!

haha nope. it was fully functional (not so anymore haha) but yeah I bought it ages ago and it didnt work anymore --- If i would have sold it I woulda probably gotten 30 bucks. I found it well worth the reaction though. With the death of a pocket PC comes the birth of an iPod shuffle (corny). anyways, there is another commercial I am working on well a couple actually for another contest and many people like it as well. I filmed it with a GL2 (cuz the school here in Nebraska lets us rent the for free) but I will post it once I enter it in the contest (if that is not against the rules that is). Anyway. long story short. Glad you guys liked it :). OH MY!!!

PS...I have forgotten to mention that mine was shot with a Sony HandyCam (Hi8) tehee. Served it's purpose though and goes to show that story and concept can make up for some of what technology lacks. It has inspired me too.
