I shot this Saturday using the 7d and Shoulder mount, follow focus and matte box by The Cinecity.

I didn't shoot as much as i wanted but i did the best i could with the limited amount of footage i had. I used a standard nd8 filter because my fader nd hadn't arrived in the mail yet. But this seemed to do the trick because the sun was just going down at the time. Anyways let me know what you think.

Truthfully..kinda boring.. You should of mixed it with some close tight shots..like of the girl on the guys shoulder. To much wide shots. Trying to help.

To add to what Skilled said - I'd suggest loosening up on using default Magic Bullet presets. It doesn't make amateur shots look better.

I'm not trying to be harsh, just some truthful advice from one editor to another.

But... but... it says it's the blockbuster look.

haha thanks guys. I am trying to get better and i never went to film school so this is all really good advice for me to grow.

I am just getting the hang of Magic Bullet looks, you guys must know it really well to be able to just recognize presets right away. But yeah i will try to play around with it and create my own looks.

And I am not very daring yet, i only went up to people and pointed the camera at them when they looked interested in getting filmed. I guess i got to be a little more pushy to get the shots i want, lol
