ejecting tape when recoridng?

Hi,

I ejected the tape while it was still recording, i heard all these nasty sounds then closed the cover.. then i stoped recording and it came out fine...

anyone done this before (dvx100a) ? is it damaging to the camera or the tape?

nope. no problem.

A deck will always safly stop down before ejecting a tape.
Many decks won't allow you to eject (and will simply do nothing) while recording.
