So ran into an issue today with one of our EgoDisk 256 cards....grrrrr. It had media on it and I went to format it BUT is gave me a "Process Terminated with Error " message. Now it just says Check Data and won't let me initialize without getting the same message. Has any one else had this error?

Any ideas???

I have not had problems with these cards in the past. We have 3 of them.

That’s a shame. I have never had an issue with my Egodisk cards :(
Please keep us posted on what you find out! Best of luck mate!

Could just be as simple as the card "dying". I had a regular CF card for my C300 eventually refuse to format, but it was several years old with Lord knows how many cycles on it.

I have not updated to the last firmware. It will mount on the computer I erased the clips but I have not tried a format there yet through disk utility.
Camera can not do anything with the card so far. In the morning I will try to wipe everything from computer. Good thing I had backed up that Data!!!

NO luck formating through Disk Utility. I have not tried another brand of cards, we have 3 and the other 2 work fine. Have not had a problem till now...... May have to contact EgoDisk now.

Using a Sandisk Cfast 2.0 reader. It was being read by Disk Utility but after trying to format it it does not mount anymore. Also looks like Ego Disk will be sending a new card, they had a very fast response.

Very odd... I haven't heard of a CFast card failing in this way. And I was thinking maybe it was a Lexar card reader, which are prone to instability in my experience when used over USB 3.0.

Wow, so sorry to hear this, first problem I have heard of with EgoDisk. We have six of the 256GB and have had no problems or issues in almost a year of shooting, fingers crossed. Glad you didn't lose your media. Let us know how the replacement works. Are you sending the defective one to them?

My experience as well! Shinobi - Keep us updated on your situation, much appreciated!
