Edius Broadcast v.4 On Bootcamp?

I screwed with it a little over the last couple of weeks. Just trying out the trial version. haven't done anything with p2. At first it was a little annoying. But, I am starting to like it a good deal. It is pretty easy to use. I haven't delved deep into it, but I am almost positive I am going the Edius route when I get all my equipment, unless something major happens with another NLE in the next month or two. I was spoiled by vegas, so I love just being able to mix multiple things on the timeline and preview in real time. Everyone has been saying too, that as far as p2 integration, it is the shiznit. It's the only nle in that regard. It seems to be a very powerful nle, although maybe not as robust as your FCP or Vegas. Maybe time will help that part though. Edius seems to relatively quickly becoming quite popular in the broadcast world, and I can see why from the little use I have done with it. Chromakey is supposed to be very good, although I haven't messed with it yet. Somewhere on the board though there is a link to someone doing a chromakey test on the hvx in the earlier days of its release, and they used Edius. For what its worth, I can handle as many streams of mini dv as I can put on the timeline. I downloaded some sample hdv clips (720 and 1080) from the Canopus site, just to see. And though it wasn't exactly fully realtime, it was still workable, even adding basic transitions without rendering. I did that test on a 2 year old system that I built, with a single core athlon 64 3800 and a geforce fx5200. Also a 40 gig 5200 rpm main drive, and a 7200 rpm 300 gig drive. Though the video card doesn't play a role in Edius if I understand correctly.
Take Care,
Jason

Does the trial version support P2 now? Last I heard it didn't. If I could see how it works with P2 files I might buy it.

Sorry, man. I was not paying attention at all :) I was thinking you were talking about it being a part of the next bootcamp. Like a workshop on Edius or something. Geez. Stupid. Sorry
