Editing VIVIDRGB

Steve, maybe you could chime in here. I have a newbie question. I like the VIVIDRGB color profile for the Canon XH-A1 but would like to slightly reduce the vibrancy of the REDS. I just don't know which parameter to edit. Logic would tell me that it is the RED gain but I am not sure. If it is, which way do I go?Thanks for helping a new member here. I have been reading this forum for awhile now and really enjoy it. Hope I can lend some useful information at some point as well. For instance, just received my advanta jib and find it awesome. Any questions, ask away and if I can help I will.

The easiest way to do it would be to white balance to a slightly cooler temperature. That's what I do when I need to lose the red vibrancy in a pinch.

Do you mean white balance to cool colored card? or manipulate the color temp in the camera..Could you please be more specific for this newbie. Thanks.
Steve

I would do it in-camera using the incremental temperature changes. Shoot the same scene with different increments while talking into the camera saying what you are doing. When you see something you like on your screen later, use that and perfect it over time. You'll get a feel for it eventually.
