Not sure where to place this topic, but anybody here have any suggestions about a fast equipment setup that can be used to edit event on location? Anyone have experience here? Upon editing we would like to show it on LCD screens.
Thanks
Thanks. I'm looking for a simple setup that we'll be able to edit video immediately after we shot on the day of the event and show it after we edit. Not really a live in real time switching.
And how are you recording it? Are you shooting to tape? To memory cards? What kind of tape or cards? Camera codec? How many cameras? How are you planning to ingest all the material? Will you have matching timecode?
And how soon after the event do you want to finish your edit?
Lenovo W520 running Premiere Pro CS5.5 with Soundbooth and Photoshop on Windows 7 Pro with a 500GB drive in the DVROM slot is a gr8 location editing solution. I get so much done on airplanes now...after I transfer all stock from the CF cards to the 500GB drive.
