editing issues

ok I have a problem, first of all, I'm editing on a PC in PP CS4 with the 7D

I downloaded that Avid thing to get the preset of NDxHD. Only thing is, when I export from Mpeg Streamclip as .avi, and bring it into premiere, it doesn't recognize any video! I followed all the steps, but it just shows that it's an audio file.

So i tried exporting as .mov with the same preset and steps, but when i render my work field, it makes the clips all dark!

Is the NDxHD codec free? Advantages over something legacy like MJPEG?

If you installed the DNXHd codec - then why not export from Streamclip using the DNXHd codec.

I'm not a premier user but when I export from Streamclip (MAC) I have various DNXHd options. This media shows up on my Avid MAC or Avid PC computer. The same should work for you.

i did, it didn't work....i'm just gonna buy a mac tomorrow and sell this damn PC haha
