editing films and docus

if i have a documentary/film that is 2 hours long. finished edited and the only thing left is sound editing and color grading.

do you guys edit all your films in sequences and send each seqence to stp and color. and then put the whole film together?
or
send the whole thing to stp and color?


the first option probably gives problem with consistency with sound and color between sequences right?
but the second option will be too demanding on the machine?
what to do?

Sequences. Always use sequences, aka reels. It keeps things nice and clean. Continuity in post comes more from the eyes and ears of the user. But if it comes down to it, you can always keep a reference file of previous reels in the project for comparison.
