Maybe you've seen it. Maybe not. Ed Burns shot LOOKING FOR KITTY with a DVX100 and a PS Teknik adaptor. Shot in NYC with essentially a handful of friends. It 's not TRANSFORMERS but doesn't try to be. His commentary track is heavy on digital filmmaking with one DVX. He talks about his cuts and scenes. It's good guerilla.

On the other hand, his National Parks film was shot... no, not with a Varicam, but with a Super16 film camera.

This is the same Ed Burns from Saving Private Ryan? Interesting. I would have thought me might spring for a slightly nicer camera system. Just goes to prove how awesome the DVX really is/was.

It is the same Ed Burns. He's also a writer and director who makes primarily indie films in New York. THE BOYS IN THE BAND, SHE'S THE ONE, BROTHER MCMULLAN, ASH WEDNESDAY...they have good commentary tracks that do a good job of dissecting his overall production. Very cool.
