Ebay scam?

Bidding is currently at $9800. I don't see how the seller was able to circumvent selling limits with such a limited history. Maybe bidding can go over the seller's limit. But by thousands?

I buy and sell a lot on eBay but wasn't aware of selling limits. Is this a new thing?

If you are **sure** something is a scam, there are a few things you can do (other than report it):

1. Be the highest bidder, then contact eBay about sellers activities.

2. Collaborate with another "buyer", to drive the price way up - to $30,000, $50,000, $1,000,000 or more ...

I "bought" a Canon 5DIII from a hijaclked account a while back just to have 1 less on the market, and to gain info from the fraudulent seller.

These scams reveal the weakness of Ebay's control practices and contribute to discredit eBay among potential buyers. Beware guys !
