C300: Easyrig and c300

What was the weight of your rig? I believe the easyrig mini strong maxes out at 9lbs correct? I'm planning on buying the easyrig cinema after dragon for my epic but is twice the price of the strong.

hard to say, but it should be in a range with my easyrig model..... it takes 9 -13 lbs, or up to 6kg. and its for sure will not work with epic cam..... u need a more expansive model they are around 3000$, its bar is also more advanced . but its worth it!

thing is even my less expansive model - looks very solid , i cant imagine that something will be broken, its seems like its going to last for a long time, so its good investment! + you will save TONS of $$$ simply just by not visiting Doctor too often and massage therapist, as well as there will be no needs to buy pils from pain in the back......

+ that thing looks cool kind of ... people look at u like on some Cam GURU :)

Yea that's what I figured. I never seen your easyrig model before, as I only used the "cinema 3" one. But looking at b&h they looked very similar and I thought your c300 rig might be a similar weight to my epic rig. I'm guessing now your rig is under 25-30lbs?

This is the one I keep renting, don't really feel for the price though. But in five more rentals I pretty much paid for one, haha

I don't think I have to worry about seeing the doctor though as my girlfriend is Asian, and they are good at massages.

Anyone considering the three axis gimbal's like freefly MoVI, Varizoom's Flowcam or other systems?
Got a feature in sept with the whole thing will be on the movi. The only down sides is weight limit payload, and it will make your arms tired after lunch.

For you guys that are working with heavier cameras and fights the string on a Easyrig, I would suggest you to check out the G-1 from Flowcine. I don't want to come on board here making a sales pitch, but we isolated the problematic areas with working with a Easyrig, and really done tons of testing how to overcome all kind movements with that type of bodymount. Easyrig or the Suspender is very nice to your body in the long run, but its not the nicest setup when you start walking or running around plus when you try to tilt or even roll the camera the string fights you back trying to get the camera back to horisontal level, pretty much making you lift most of the weight of the camera. The best part is that it handles camera setup up to 38lbs/17kg, and doesnt limit you in in choice of size/accessories of lens choice. I don't have a C300 here though, so I must check how to best mount it, since it needs to be mounted on top of the camera. But I guess there already is a top cheese plate for the Canon cameras?
