Easy Workflow for After Effects CS4 and Final Cut?

Is there an easy way of using after effects and final cut together? Which do yall prefer working in first. Please post up some ways yall go about doing it.
 
Final Cut Pro and then Automatic Duck to AE is the easiest....

Unfortunately I don't have a copy of Auto Duck so I match frame in AE after FCP edit....

If you consolidate the edit in FCP you can use the media in the folder it creates... saves allot of hassles...

If all else fails... I use finder as a part of FCP and locate material into AE that way...

you can open the final cut timeline in Premiere Pro CS5 and then use the dynamic link to open the project in After Effects.
 
thank you very much for the input guys. i'm gonna take a look at all these solutions. One more question.. are any of these processes lossy? Do you lose quality while transferring back and forth?
 
no. that's the beauty of working between Premier and AfterEffects. and in AE I upgrade the color space to 16bit.
 
So then I would lose quality if going from Final Cut to After Effects? Is there anyway around this other than importing it to premiere? I'm just looking for a quicker way of doing things.
