early firmware HVX footage imoort error in FCP solution

We have a HVX camera in the 800's that had the original hardware and was recording corrupted clips, FCP couldn't import them but could play them in the import tool. Just stumbled across:

Imported ALL of our past corrupted footage, hope this helps someone ! ! ! I know we've spent a lot of time trying to find a solution.

As far as I know, you're the first one to allege that a version of the HVX produces or produced corruput files. What is known is that FCP has or had problems importing MXF files, but this has nothing to do with a camera problem.

You are also indicating a change to the hardware, which I'm not aware of -- there has been a firmware update, but not a hardware change.

FCP had a P2 bug, but 5.1.4 fixed that. It used to report corrupted files, even when they were not, in fact, corrupted. It's been hashed to death in other threads.
