In supposing the video bracket is designed also for live event work where there is no opportunity to use a tripod, no easy access to the battery compartment seems like a big design fail.

I dunno if the video bracket is worth it. I think the cb105 is a good purchase, but the video bracket doesn't look that hot. I would love to see the full rig getting rocked.
