So I got my DXA-5D but I can't screw it to the 7D because of this two little darn prongs sticking out of the base plate of the BeachTek DXA-5D. Anyone has this problem? Solution?

Remove the screws. We had the same situation with the GH1, and that was Beachtek's recommendation.
