I can certainly contact SmallHD again and see if they're interested in doing another group buy. I'll try to get ahold of them sometime this week and see what they say.
 
did the v 1.3 firmware address the yellow tint issue at all?
I know they're trying to fix it, but was it ever successfully corrected?
I wanted the DP6 at first and its slim design is nice, but I ended up getting the TV logic due to the yellow tint issue and all.

Doesn't both the SmallHD, and TV logic use the same LCD panel? Wonder why it's so tough to correct via software.
 
Actually I noticed the yellow tint if you look at the screen slightly off angle. But if you look at the screen straight on there is no tint. Very interesting!

Indeed.

They may have followed different paths to firmwares. Tvlogic is much more exprerienced pro monitor constructor....

They have the same panel indeed but I didn't noticed a tvlogic owner to complain about the yellow tint on his unit like DP6 owners do.....

I myself didn't noticed something annoying on a Tvlogic unit I rented for a project.
 
SmallHD just got back to me and said the deal has been extended up to the end of May. Jump on it now!!
 
Am I crazy!!??? I shot a music video last weekend and I swear that when I was blindly hitting buttons on my dp6 I got a menu that I have never seen before. It had warm and cool options to choose from. I hit another button and it went away and I could not get it to show up again. I wouldn't shut up about it all day and I think my AC thought I was crazy. Is it possible that my monitor gliched and I was seeing some beta firmware or something???
 
Just give them a call! :) They are really friendly and will be able to tell you. I've not seen that menu on mine .... yet.
