Re: DVXuser Kitty passed away this morning

I, too, am sorry to hear it, Jarred. I know every time I've lost a dog, it's been hard.

I'm just amazed at how many cat people are out there! ::)

Re: DVXuser Kitty passed away this morning

Sorry to hear about your cat. I have a 5 year old cat, and he's like an extra member of the family rather than a pet. Hope you and your wife are doing ok.

:(
sorry to hear about your loss.

Have a dog myself... they really become a member of the family....

Re: DVXuser Kitty passed away this morning

Re: DVXuser Kitty passed away this morning

Sorry to hear about your loss Jarred. $1500 just spent the other week for a visit to the vet for mine. He has some kind of liver condition where he gets all weak and dizzy if his diet is not right.

Re: DVXuser Kitty passed away this morning

Just saw your Kitty-Bing post. I feel for you. My cat Mickey is presently snoozing atop the scanner on my desk. Soon enough he'll plop right down on my keyboard and stare at or through me. Cats are great companions--sometimes I wonder whether he's become more like me or vise versa. Get another cat!

Re: DVXuser Kitty passed away this morning

Yes indeed.. A new Kitty is on the way. Opressor, hopefully yours will get better :)

Re: DVXuser Kitty passed away this morning

Sorry to hear about your loss. Pets are strange in the way they work their way into your life and how they can calm you in times of stress. I have had and lost many pets and the pain of their loss is great, but I couldn't imagine a life without them.

Take care,

Scott

Re: DVXuser Kitty passed away this morning

I lost my beloved Boris (tuxedo cat)
to cancer last October. Worst winter
of my life. He would lay on top
of the keyboard when he got jealous
and wanted full attention. He also
liked to nap on top of a tbc 'cause
it hummed and gave a little heat.

They are friends of a different order
and your grief is felt and understood,
my friend. :-[

Re: DVXuser Kitty passed away this morning

Thank you.. and yes Bing sure liked to pounce on the keyboard.. I wish I could blame him for my spelling errors, but thats just me :)

Re: DVXuser Kitty passed away this morning

I hate to make this thread any longer but had to say goodbye to Bing. As I grew up with 21 cats at one time I know how it can feel. Some times I get along better with animals then my fellow human. On a lighter note, my favorite cat would follow me on the farm during rabbit season, he of course got the first kill. I miss that cat :-[

Wholly crap... we dont have cats like that around here.... rabiits? wowzers.

Re: DVXuser Kitty passed away this morning

No ****?!

What kind of cat did you have... a bobcat?!

I can't imagine my cat catching one of the big jackrabbits or even the smaller cottontails found around here.

Re: DVXuser Kitty passed away this morning

Just a plain old black and white house cat, not overly large. That new cat food comercial I see remainds me of him, where the cat chases the antalope. He would know when I was going out to hunt and get underfoot like it was feeding time.
here is a pic at maybe 9 -12 month old

p.s. no jackrabbits just Virginia Cotton tails here

Re: DVXuser Kitty passed away this morning

Cool! Cats are the shizzle.

I suppose a cottontail would be much, much easier to catch than a jackrabbit.

Re: DVXuser Kitty passed away this morning

Hard moments Jarred, it really _hurts_ (I was often thinking... sorry for my approximative English, I hope that subtleties won't lead to misunderstand what I mean in a way I can't foresee... I've often been thinking that it is somehow beautifully amazing that [so many] humans can suffer so much for their not-humans friends [kind of a counterpart for so many humans not respecting not-humans-and-humans-either]).

not the mouse? ;) :-X well the picture is of a cool soooooooft one! _But_ that could just be a moment of rest.

Jarred, Bing will be a warm presence in your heart forever.

Re: DVXuser Kitty passed away this morning

:( , Jarred sorry to hear this news, i ONLY JUST got back to this forum as i have not being reading up in DVXuser lately so this came a bit of a shock.

we use to have a cat "back home" and it had stripes just like a mini tiger and it was real fiearce cuz it use to bring back snakes (dead and alive) that was one of my earlest memeory.

anyway ...... i'm sure you have great memories of good times of Bing, just hold on to them, ans Bing will never be gone

Re: DVXuser Kitty passed away this morning

Yes.. thanks guys. Bing will be missed, and we finally went and picked up a new Kitty. I really appreciate the support from all you guys and gals, it really as I said before helped us deal with it.

Its amazing how close you can become to a pet, I cant imagine what loosing a child would be like.

Re: DVXuser Kitty passed away this morning

The new cat will help to ease your pain and eventually steal a piece of your heart just as did Bing. :)

So, what's the new kitty's name? What does it look like? Will you post a pic?
