DVX100B on Sony Minidv tape

OK now I have a very big problem
I am really now clear with the sony and panasonic tape issue
but I know there is dry and wet lubricant

can now My problem is
I am a sony supported ... so I have been using sony for
about 10 years -- All of My machine is Sony
So I year I use about 500 mnidv- but my problem is
I got the panasonic DVX100 but all the cam in the company is still
Sony -- so they use sony
and the only support sony tapes

OK choice 1 the whole company change to Panasonic Mini DV
or the whole company use Sony mini dv

If I use the panasonic tape and coming back using sony player to
play back is there any harm

what I concern is , is it possible for me to use the sony mini dv tape on
my new DVX100

You can use Sony tapes in a Panasonic camera. The only issue with wet vs. dry really comes up if you've used one type for a while and decide to switch to the other type without a thorough camera head cleaning.

If the camera is new, use Sony to keep things consistent with all the other cameras and decks.

You should not have a problem. I picked up a DVX100 that had nothing but high end Panasonic tapes run through it. Being a little more strapped for cash, I went with the consumer level Sony Mini DV tapes. I cleaned the heads with a head cleaner twice, then have ran about 50 tapes through without a single issue. Yours should be fine, I think there is more of a problem going from "wet" to "dry" rather than just "dry" to "wet".

Ok

Ok

OK MY condition is I got my cam
but I am not sure what the first user use ( I mean what type of tape)

Because I brought it from a friend from other country

What I do is I use the cleaning tape to
clean it and then use the sony tape

Sony is Wet or dry

Be careful with cleaning cassettes! Honestly, I don't know why folks use them as often as they do. They damage the heads more than they clean. Furthermore, the cleaning cassette needs to match the type of tape used (there are wet and dry cleaning cassettes).

Sony is the only wet-type tape out there. The rest (Panasonic, Maxxell, TDK, JVC, Fuji) are dry-type.

From your original post, you asked about tapes for your "new DVX100." So it isn't new, it's used. Ask your friend via email what tapes he used. If you are still uncertain, the best option is a thorough, professional cleaning of the heads. This includes lots of detail work in the camera, and does not include the use of a cleaning cassette. If you don't know how to do this yourself, take it to a service center.

Can I just use the Sony tape

Read this, but pay close attention to the disclaimer at the beginning of the post:

You can go ahead and use the Sony tapes. You may start to see dropouts, or lose your recording altogether, if the mixed lubes start to clog the heads. Pay close attention, watch for the dirty head indicator (flashing, red X), and again please avoid the cleaning cassettes.

Some people have made the switch without problem, but it's a crap shoot.

If We change all to panasonic

If We change all to panasonic

If We change all to panasonic
Will the sony camera affected

and if I use the panasonic DVX100 to play
and USe the Normal Cam to play back Like TRV50

will it be problem

Depends. Do you want to risk all your other cameras needing a thorough cleaning, or just the one? Again, some folks have made the switch without problems. Others have had head clogs. It's a gamble.

Not sure I understand. I really think that the simplest solution is to move to Sony tapes in the DVX and see what happens. At worst, you'll have to find some one to clean the heads for you. just keep track of what you shoot and if you start to see dropouts, it's time for a good cleaning.
