CAMCORDERS: DVX100b - Night Shot Settings

I recently bought a dvx100b to shoot cars and most of the video I do is at night. I would like to know any settings that anyone might recommend to boost the night performance. or any tips

I tried 30p last weekend with a low shutter but it is still not as bright as I want it, some clips were unusable.

24p vs 30p vs 60i?
Gamma curve options?

Any other scene settings to boost low light performance?

Been quite a while since I owned one, but as I recall, the DVX-100/a/b doesn't do well in low-light situations. 1/3" chips just don't have the surface area to gather enough light when there's not enough light. You can try bumping the gain and/or crushing the gamma, but you're going to end up with lots of noise.

The 100A had an ISO of about 400 in 60i mode, as I recall. A 6db (1 stop) boost was tolerable grain wise...anything more was too noisy and "mushy" to work.
