dvx100b maintenance

I recently bought a dvx100b and want to know what crucial maintenance gear I should invest in now for long-term camera protection. I already have a Pelican 1510 hard case. Beyond the case, any recommendations on maintenance essentials?

Have a budget UV filter rec?

As you can tell, I'm really new to this. I found a lot of posts talking about the importance of a UV filter, but not much in the way of current recommendations (specifically for the 100b).
 
i'm also new to this..but from what i;ve seen posted, most uv filters will do the trick.

other things to get: compressed air can (blow out dust and stuff if u shoot in a dusty/sandy location), lens cleaning kit, silicone packets (if your area is humid)

again i'm new to this and am waiting on my dvx also...any other suggestions will be appreciated :)
 
the uv filter i have is a B+W. it works fine

also a lense cleaning kit will be good

i use wet ones to clean the body of my camera and it works alright
