how will the dvx handle three construction lights? Two on one stand and one distand eyelight. Just wondering, I have a music video shoot soon. I will be running completely manuel, I am just wondering how the image will look. We are going for a bit of a gritty look, but not collateralish.

I used two construction lights. On each side, video was done on no budget.
I also used aDvx100b and a Letus35mm.

Remember its better to overlight something then crush the blacks. Than to realize that you need lighting later on in post.

I think you have to render it in 1280x720, but you can tell it is off because the original footage is in 4x3 aspect ratio. I used Sony vegas 7 and Magic Bulllet.

that is the light setup im rocking. I seem to be getting decent results. One problem is not being able to direct light like I would want to, barn doors are key.

hmmm...might want to consider some form of light diffusion over those lights. they have some pretty strange hot spots...but, hey, that might give you the look you want.

I actually rendered to .wmv file. It gives the option to render 5 MPS HD these are the specs. Audio: 192 Kbps, 48,000 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo, WMA9.
Video: 25.00 fps, 1280x720, WMV V9 CBR

But as I said the aspect ration is a bit off.

but the file is small enough to fit the 500mb limit on viemo.

I was thinking more about the harsh shadows... But yeah, diffusion would work fine. I've even heard of people using a frosted shower curtain to cast a softer light. Has anyone tried this?
