I thought hours on heads meant hours recorded. I don't think it builds time up just by leaving it on, does it?
 
Nah, it does build up hours by leaving it on. You can google and read more about it. I remember when I first got it, I didn't even record anything yet, I just had it on to play around with the settings and there were already 2 hours on my DVX. Weird.
