DVX100a Timecode display issue

Hello all, I have recently run into a problem that makes it almost impossible for me to batch capture in Final Cut Pro 7. My DVX automatically reverts back to displaying the last used timecode when it is not rewinding, fastforwarding, or playing. That is, when I am batch capturing and FCP pauses the camera to evaluate where on the tape it currently is (say it is trying to capture a clip that is 2/3rds back, @ 01:12:15:00) , the timecode automatically reverts back to displaying the last used timecode (such as 01:25:01:00, if I had shot 25 minutes of footage that day). This makes it impossible for final cut to detect what timecodes it needs to capture since this only happens when the camera is paused or switching from rewind to play or fast forward.

This problem's cause is beyond me, I'm guessing the solution is somewhere in the menu, but I haven't been able to find an answer to my problem thus far. Anyone have any experience with a similar issue or have a solution for me? I'm using a DVX100a with about 200 hours on the heads.

You need to change your TC REGEN to ON (Recording Setup). And set your First Rec TC to REGEN.
