Still learning about my new DVX100a. When I turn it on and don't do anything with it for a few minutes, it goes into "sleep" mode, or "stand by." The LCD screen goes dark.
I guess that's what it's supposed to do. But I have a few questions...
1. How do I "wake up" the camera from this "sleep" mode? The only way I know of is to turn the power switch off (because it went to sleep while in the "on" position) and then power it back on. Is there another way to simply wake it up?
2. I might want to set up the camera where it's feeding a switcher, but is never really set to "record." Surely there must be a way to either (a.) extend the time before it falls asleep, or (b.) to prevent it from going into "sleep' or "stand by" mode at all. But how?
And yes, I've already RTFM, but somehow I missed this, and am not sure where to look for it.
Pretty simple, and I'm sure others already know the answer. Can you help me?
Randy
