dvx100a Auto lock Loading Lock

I just bought my used camera with 85 hours on it. I put a new tape in and after a few minutes a blue screen comes up with red letters saying "Auto off, loading lock"

Any ideas how to fix this?
I bought it on ebay and was told it had no problems. I've tried the reset button and leaving the battery off for a few minutes.

Did it come with a manual? If it did, check the table of contents for the "warnings" section. Therese an explanation there. As for a solution, try running a head cleaner tape thru it (no more then 5 seconds) and see if that helps.

That warning has to do with the tape mechanism. I saw it once on my camera when I inserted a tape very fast. Dont be hurry to close the tape cover. Even when the tape holder is in its normal position wait a couple of seconds and after close the cover. In my case I just took the tape off, inserted again more carefully and that was it...
