DVX100 Timecode Issue

I just got a replacement DVX100 that was used, and the settings were set up all weird. I looked all over the menus and on google, and I couldn't find anything. The issue is that the timecode isn't displaying in camera mode or vcr mode. I feel like an idiot, but is there a menu option to show or hide it, or is my camera messed up?

Under the flip-out LCD screen is a button labeled "counter." You'll scroll through a few different types of counters, but it will bring you back to TC.

If the camera only has 27hrs on it and you only used Panasonic tape then I'd think about getting it looked at. Specially if its covered under warranty.

You should really only be running cleaning tapes every 100 hours or so.
