Jitcam, I can identify with you when I was younger.
The prices of DVX100s have fallen a lot. You should be able to get a second-hand one pretty cheap now. Go for it and express yourself

23 next week... and all of the more 'senior' members who are mentioning what film was like to work on, much respect. although, i'll prolly sound the same in 20 yrs, when i'm telling those young punks about DV... hahahaha

Over 60.... In my college days I shot with super-8mm and a 16mm Bolex with a pan-cinar lense and sound was the big problem.

It sure does.
I instantly feel old - then I remember what it was like to be younger.
Everyone between 30 and 55 pretty much looked the same to me.
:)

I'm sure that's what I look like to them...just another 'old guy'

Dude, you already are making movies. Don't get downhearted - that's what 1/3 CCD cameras were invented for. Well, not really, but DON'T INTERRUPT MY INSPIRATIONAL SPEECH. Darn right brain.

Nope, got you beat! My wife is an on-air correspondent for one of the big Spanish language networks. I ordered pizza a couple of months ago and the kid who delivered it saw her name on the order.

He asked me if I was her father!:embarasse

Needless to say...he got no tip!
