DVX TV AD - new fragrance

yep...same here...I mean one or two references of "f*** Jesus" would have gotten the message across....but over and over and over....now you are getting into the "shock value"

but oh well...freedom of speech is a *****!

well guys i'm sure jesus will have a word or two with him, so you dont have to be offended any more ;) hehe just watch and giggle through it

i like the glowing effect. somehow the whole concept seems wrong for a fragrance though - I mean who want's to put that on their body? And with a tagline like that you're going to alienate a lot of your potential customers.
Well shot though...

Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!

Nice and twisted. Just like I like it.

I'm gonna go back to watching Rubber Johnny now...

Cinematography wise, yes it well shot, edited and color corrected.

Anything else to me seems absolutely uncalled for!.
Let Jesus **** you??? What da f**** is that????.

I guess Nastrademus was right, a lot of anti-christ will be sprankling every where in different forms.
I can never buy no perfume that not only using Jesus name in vain but also using a profanity word with the name Jesus.
C'mon, we can not say s h i t at the office not to talk of fuc*.

Now we are using profanity for commercials with the name Jesus???

Who wrote that dumb script?

Thanks for all the positive feedback!

Couple of things.

Im really suprised some people thing this is for real. A fragrance with 'tears from a zoomed in eye' in it, is not about to hit the market. It's something I made up with my mate Mark (you may recognise him from 'No Presents For Paul'). Sorry if the thread misled - but I thought that would add to the initial humour. The whole idea was to create a fragrance and concept that was ridiculous.

I didnt set out to offend, if I had done that this would have been much worse. "Let Jesus...." is a line from the Exorcist which suited the fragrance but Tarquin never actually says it. It's shown repeatedly during the section where we talk about the advertising campaign and the reasoning for the slogan - which is what you'd expect; it's in context with the whole piece. Of course anyone who's religious would take offence anyway, but I dont think it's excessively done for shock value alone.

True, I think it's hilarious to see an Ad the size of a house above woolworths saying "Let Jesus..." ; but that's just me.

The bottle I made in 3DSMAX, along with the corridor shot; the posters were just tracked in and cc'd to blend. The rest of it was shot in my house and garden. Im glad some of you liked it anyway.
