DVX to 720p

I didn't read any guide about this process, I just used my photographing tools with video, which is the same thing, only smaller images.
Um, really? Dude, it's no big deal that you read Disjecta's how-to thread. I'm not making that claim up out of thin air. I know you read the guide because I saw your posts at the bottom of his How to get high quality widescreen footage thread which was his first guide describing the process. He also, in that thread, mentions the other guide Procedure for uprezzing 4x3 letterbox to 16x9.

Are you dening you read it because you're trying to claim you magically came up with this process on your own? For you to say you tweaked or adjusted Disjecta's process is one thing. But for you to make the false claim that you "didn't read any guide about this process" just made me have to call you out on this one.

very nice...and i have photozoom so i know what you're doing and how you feel about it...good stuff.

lemme guess, worried if you did it exactly right? What could be done differently? Is it the right spline curve or whatever... im soo confused with this thing.

StormFactory... lol, I used the old S-Spline when it was freashly new a few years ago. The post in the widescreen thread was about the method he used to convert it to standard widescreen DV, without loosing too much quality.
I used s-spline to uprez video long ago and it isn't new, I just haven't got the need for it until know. With consumer HD TV:s, this process is something I use for customers as an option. The example here is from my own movie.

What I did wasn't uprezing from 4:3 to 16:9, it was about uprezing to HD 720p or 1080p. That process isn't new, it's quite old. It's just that with photozoom PRO 1 and 2 you get much better quality.

So, no, I didn't read the quide, I was merly asking about the process he used, because it seemed that he went from just DV resolution to DV resolution. If you go from DV to HD and then import again to DV, you get better sharpness.

huh?
one of these days im gunna have to investigate all these uprezzing options.

Do that, it seems that it's an important thing to know who managed to realize it on their own and who followed a guide. You know, there are people who experiment and come up with these things on their own... not everyone of those creates a guide. But at the end of it, who cares?
