DVX slow motion

Okay, I have a couple of questions that pretains to slow motion FROM the DVX camera vs FROM post. I will try to make it as brief as possible.

I have asked many questions about slow motion and have found that 60i (1/120 shutter speed) at 40% slower is the best slow-motion solution from this camera.
When attempting to solve the problem of wanting to shoot my sister's wedding in 24p for an aesthetic choice vs. 60i for better slow motion, Barry Green added a post informing me that you can bring 24p AND 60i into the same timeline in Ppro 1.5.

Okay, now for the questions that are completely baffling me:
1. When you shoot 60i (1/120shutter), is the footage automatically slowed down as it is filmed (will it be automatically slowed down during playback after it is captured) OR do you still have to slow it down in post?
2. If you can bring 60i into a 24p timeline, what would be the difference in editing an entire 60i piece into a 24p timeline versus editing an entire 60i piece in a 60i timeline in terms of how it will look when played back?

You see, I desperately want the look of a 24p piece but I really want quality slow motion. I'm torn on how to pre-set my camera.

Please, somebody help clarify this for me. My brain is getting tired.
Rick
PS Be gentle please.

I said you could do that in Vegas. I don't know if it can be done in Premiere Pro; that's a question for PP users. Vegas can handle different frame rates in the same timeline -- other editors may or may not be able to.

I've was able to get great slow motion in Avid using their 15FPS timline. It look perfect when using 24P, however, at 60 it really wasn't all that impressive. I'll post a clip soon to show what I mean. Even though to me it looked good, it still could be subjective to another person. Does anyone have anythaughts on whether or not this is a good practice?

Again I think it will be more clearer once I post the clip.

I've never had a problem using mulitple frame rates on a single timelilne in Premiere Pro 1.5

Thanks disjecta. I'll give it a shot.

Now, for the previous questions that have me stymied. I'll just copy and paste.:

If anyone can help answer these questions for me I would very grateful.
Thanks!
