DVX Power Problems

Anyone have this problem? I have the stock battery and the Panasonic D28 2800mAh battery. At times I turn the power switch on and get nothing. I can turn it off and back on numerous times and get no response from the camera, like the battery is dead. I can then detach the battery and replace it again and flip the power switch. The camera then powers up as normal. This happened several tiems with the D28 battery so I thought it was just a problem with the battery but it did it a few days back with the stock 1600mAh battery. This problem is intermitent as well. I will happen once and not happen again for a few days or a week then I get it again. Since the problem has happened with both batteries attached I am now assuming it is the camera. The batteries always have a good amount of charge left when this happens. Anyone else having this issue?

Re: DVX Power Problems

I would assume so that the internal is charged. I bought the cam about seven month ago new. I would think that since this is an intermitent problem it is not the internal battery. And, if it were the internal I would probably be getting menu setting losses and what not. I could be wrong about that though. I hate to have to send it in. I have a PD150 to fall back on but I use the DVX a lot in recent weeks.

Re: DVX Power Problems

..somtimes the switch can be figity.. try pushing it ever so slightly more towards the on position next time before playing with the batt.. the batt connection is pretty solid..(unlike an old nitendo game cartridge...oh the headaches!) so its really probably just the act of flipping the switch to on again that does it..
