Dvx Diy 35mm Footage

nice flicker, almost as if you have a rotating ground glass. its really dark though, are you losing a lot of stops of light? do you mind sharing your construction of the adapter, or are you going to keep it a secret?

It is a spinning adapter, my camera was at f4 and the lens was 1.8. I used 2, one dollar magnifying glasses for an achromat.

Ya, its just very very soft. If I adjusted the colimation and sped the disk up a tad I think I could get some better results.

Maybe a better achromat as well. The current produces some bad CA.

the new indifocus as well as rails. Currently its being used as a holder for the adapter. I re adjusted the colimation using, you guessed it, more tape. The focus is a little better now, going to post up some more tests in a bit. Still soft and heavy CA, im just passing the time before the blade comes out.

Here is some new footage. I did some random film test which looks alot better on my computer then on vimeo. I also don't understand why it looks interlaced.

did you shoot in progressive? if so, maybe the NLE your using is interlacing it upon export or in the sequence timeline
